Visiting Kennedy and 金叶

16 01 2007

This evening, our cell group visited 金叶 and Kennedy at their home.  Praise be to God, the turn-out was wonderful; we had Philip, Ruth, Perlina, 志文, 芳淑, Shuyi and me. Perlina even made a get-well card for Kennedy, which is very sweet and thoughtful of her. :)

We had an enjoyable fellowship – praying, chit-chatting and eating all the goodies that 金叶 had prepared.  Wow, 金叶 is really blessed with great skills at making kuehs and agar-agar. She even made this agar-agar that looks so much like watermelon slices! Meanwhile on TV, Sam Leong was judging cookery contestants on how good/bad their desserts were.

We prayed for God’s healing and blessing on Kennedy. It’s heartening to learn from 金叶 that the doctors are reporting better results. Yes! Indeed, “by His wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5)

Before leaving, I made a date with Kennedy to be at his house tomorrow to play Xbox with him. :)

片刻的安宁

11 01 2007

One gem of a lyrics that I found at 小羊诗歌 (http://www.lambmusic.org). Title of the song is “片刻的安宁”.

The yearning for a fleeting moment of serenity is so strongly expressed in the lyrics that it struck a chord with me immediately. The MIDI is available at: http://lmac.ccim.org/cd/lamb/songs/midi/rest.mid

Do you see yourself in the song as well?

It’s 2007!

9 01 2007

December 2006 just whizzed by as I travelled to-and-fro other countries. (ok ok, I know it’s still not an excuse for not updating my blog for the entire month :) ) Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia…. hmm, isn’t that the path of typhoon Durian?

Ah, and 2007 is here. Looking forward to a new chapter in my life, where I can live more. :)
