Overseas Photos

30 03 2007

While housekeeping my harddisk today, I came across many unposted photos that I took during my overseas working trips in end 2006. Thought will just post them here for the memories. :-)

A temporary goodbye to SY, as I was to take Tiger Airways to Hanoi from our new Budget Terminal.

Boarding the plane from the tarmac… no frills eh.

Check out the prices of the F&B onboard Tiger Airways. Was pretty hungry, so had to part with S$7.50 for a sandwich and a can of Coke.

Farewell, Kennedy

18 03 2007

My dear friend Kennedy Oh Keng Han was called home to the Lord on March 16 2007, after battling with liver cancer for a year. He was 27.

Earlier this evening, many church friends and relatives had gathered for the last funeral service and the cremation at Mandai Crematorium. We saw Kennedy’s body being pushed into the furnance by a mechanical trolley. A lot of us broke down and sobbed uncontrollably at the sight, though deep in our hearts we know that Kennedy has gone to Heaven to be with Jesus.

Now, unable to sleep at night, I somehow took out my handphone. I scrolled through my handphone’s contact list and stopped at Kennedy’s entry. Should I keep this entry in my phone? If so, what’s the purpose of keeping it, since I definitely won’t make and receive any more calls from this number? I can’t explain the feeling – it’s some sort of matter-of-fact-sadness.

I guess this is the process we call “letting go”.

Watched Just Follow Law movie

3 03 2007

SY and I took Thursday evening off to watch Jack Neo’s latest offering: Just Follow Law.

Fann flossing her teeth This is clearly not Jack Neo’s best work. However, Fann Wong is the reason to watch this movie. Here, we see Fann at her most comedic performance. Surprisingly, she’s good at it. You’ll get to see Fann acting rowdy, walking with a swagger, sitting with legs wide open, wearing makeup horribly, and even swearing on two occasions. The storyline gets around 3 stars, while Fann gets 5 stars for showing a seldom-seen side of her.

Oh yeah, do look out for the cute Indian security guard in the movie as well. :)
